The Vortek Automation Center (VAC™) uses intuitive touch screens for quick comprehension, and menus to control the entire technical operation of the rigging system from a single station. It gives major repertory opera performance capability to every small theater. The simulation program (V-Sim) on Project Central contains a demonstration of the system.
The VAC has an array of existing mounting and mobility options. Multiple VAC controllers can be installed and networked around the stage area, giving operators the convenience to manage line sets from different vantage points. For added redundancy, facilities can have a laptop configured as a back-up to the main system controls. And for the ultimate in portability, Vortek offers a hardwired remote with USB or Ethernet ports. This durable, industrial grade controller allows operators the convenience of managing their line sets, as they move between vantage points on stage. Cable lengths for the wired remote and the rolling cart options should be discussed with a Vortek Representative during the facility's design.
